UK EV Sales, September 2026: A Record 99,199 EVs, Tesla Takes Second Place Overall, and the Target Slips Out of Reach
September set an all-time record of 99,199 battery-electric registrations, up 36.3%, with the Tesla Model 3 the second-best-selling car of any kind. But BEV share was 28.3%, below August, and at 26.2% year to date the 33% mandate now needs about 60% of Q4 sales. What moved, and what it means for the consultation.
